Hyunchul Kwon is an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of Architecture at Kyung Hee University, where he leads the Digital Design-to-Build Lab (DDB), focusing on digital transformation in architecture.
He holds a doctoral degree from ETH Zurich, where his Ph.D. focused on robotic multi-material 3D printing and computational design, during which he also taught in the MAS DFAB program. He earned a Master of Architecture (Distinction) from The Bartlett, UCL, and later lectured there. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at CREATE SDU, focusing on 3D construction printing.
His work has been exhibited internationally at the Vitra Design Museum, Zaha Hadid Design Gallery, MAK Museum Vienna, Design Museum Gent, Design Exchange in Toronto, the 2017 Seoul Biennale, and more.
